Description: Pine 6 by Annette Truong. The pine tree in our home province of British Columbia has nearly been wiped out by the miniscule pine beetle. A huge part of north central BC is now red and grey, rather than the rich green of the majestic pines that flourished there until a series of unusually warm winters encouraged the mountain pine beetle to take over and destroy the forests. This foundation pieced pattern is one of Four Twin sisters free quilt patterns.
